New to SD 2 bar map tuning...

I have been using Hptuners for about 2 years now, I have tuned mostly 4clyinder turbo cars, and 2 GTP's, but never moved into V8's. My friend with a 2000 camaro SS just installed a supercharger, Powerdyne non-intercooled setup, which I told him I won't touch till he does an intercooler setup and aftermarket fuel pump. He has ordered both of those and I need to start doing research on losing the MAF and going to a SD 2 bar tune.

From what I have read, researched, googled, ls1edit, etc, I found out basically this info.

    -remove the MAF
-grab a 2 bar GM PN 12580698 (modify to fit)
-tune to a 2.0 bar speed density OS (2002 IIRC)
    - then start tuning the car.

He has a wideband that we will be using to dial in AFR's through the input on my hptuner. Couple things I have not found out how to do yet:

-change the injector constant (he is going from stock to 44lb injector)
    -more info on RTT
-I need more general info and thoughts on tuning this setup, more links, more reading, anything you can help with. I have also been looking at all the boosted tunes on this site comparing them to note any differences.

These are the links I have been researching so far:

Injectors are easy, use the calculator in the sticky. Is he going with a referenced regulator to adjust the fuel pressure?

WS6 - thanks man, I was looking at that when I first started researching and I guess I had kinda overlooked it as things are getting closer. After reading it again it made much more sense and I can make that work now

as for the regulator - he installed the Racetronix Fuel pump and hotwired with a fused 8ga. Wire. And will be using the stock 1:1 regulator. But with only 6psi boost that should bring fuel pressure to approx 66psi (60psi fuel pressure @ atmosphere + 6psi from 1:1 reference) from what I have read and the pump should handle that.

    Does that sound about right?

Is the regulator going to be knocking back fuel pressure 1:1 as well?

If his fuel system is stock is not manifold referenced. It is not 1:1 but usually a steady state of 58 psi.

hmm, that is a good question, I was just assuming that it was manifold referenced... is it not stock? He is just running a stock one. Running a static of 58psi would change everything, including that his injectors are 44lb @ 43.5psi.

A 2000 Camaro ss is not referenced factory, the regulator is in the fuel tank. The fuel pressure at the rails with stock and 255l fuel pump will be 58 psi.
