    4.3L and 4L80E?

Since the 4.3L computer is really a stripped down V8 computer, can you get it to run a 4L80E without a stand alone controller?

    thanks,

You would probably need to have a 4L80e segment swapped in if its even possible.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Is the Gen III/IV ECM that well mapped that you can pull and swap different trans code sections between them? This would open up new ideas if it were the case and I might have to rethink using my L67 ECM for the EFI swap onto my classic Buick 4.1L.

To a small extent yes, the operating systems must match for the segments between them to have the ability to be swapped in Gen 3's.

Gen 4 pcm's have their own transmission controler and their own separate operating system

Do the Gen IV TCU's require an ECM CAN buss interface or are they complete stand alone?
