Uncheck the "High Speed" checkbox just before you read it. It will take a long time to read but it will read it. You only need to read it once.

Let us know. The diesel guys have this issue reading the Allison trans and that's what you have.

On vehicles with the LS1 pcm & Allison 6 speed TCM you need to pull the underhood tcm fuse to do the read & write.

Its an issue with the LS1 pcm having transmission controls paired with a tcm.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I had to start unchecking the high speed box on all vehicles I read or write too after I upgraded to Vista for some reason.
