Thread: Service Traction Control

    Service Traction Control

After a cam install and tune, We keep getting a service traction control alert on a 2008 Z06. I have tried turning the traction control sytem off with HPT or leaving it enabled and still get the alert. We took the car to the dealer and they can not find anything wrong with the system and seem to think the cam has something to do with it. The only code the dealer can pull up is C0561
Can someone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance!

Is it in speed density mode by any chance? If so you need to apply the patch that prevents the traction control DTC from kicking off when the MAF is failed.

For what it's worth I have been chasing this annoying Service Traction System since I put a turbo on my 2003 Monte Carlo SS in about 2006 or 2007.

I was told that it had to do with the fact that the engine was producing too much torque and the tranny freaks out.

It will go off by it self and leave me with the traction off indicator on.

I can shut the ignition off and when I start it back up it's fine.

Very annoying but I have gotten to where I just ignore it.

If I ever figure out how to make it go away you can rest assured that I will let the planet know about it.

    take care,
2003 MonteCarlo SS, Galaxy Silver, Charcoal Leather, Under Pressure.
I love the sound of a Turbo in the morning.

    Please, Please, Please, Please,
Never let my car sound like one of those damn flatulent Honduhs!

I have patience sort of like Dr. Kevorkain's... It ain't around very long.

Would this by chance bring up an ABS light in an LS1 Vette running SD mode? When I stuck the PCM in speed density mode, suddenly the ABS light came on and has not gone off since then.
