    DTC=diagnostic trouble code
    SES=Service Engine Soon
    MIL=Message Indicator Light

    So the DTC (code) tells you whats wrong. IE: P0103 means you are exceeding the MAF frequency limit that is defined. MIL on second error means that this error needs to be detected twice (twice typically meaning two ignition cycles) before it will think that there is something wrong. Setting the MIL status to no MIL or no error reported does just that, your MAF could have fallen off but if the DTC's related to the MAF have their MIL field set to no error reported then the car will continue to "think" it has a MAF. SES Enable determines whether the check engine/service dashboard light will illuminate when an error (MIL) is detected.

    When SES Enable is checked: if that DTC see's a MIL it will throw a check engine light.
