    Torque Converter Tuning

One of my tuning partners put a Precision Instruments 2,400rpm Vigilante Torque Converter in a 2000 Corvette Coupe. We've gone through shift firmness (Positive Pressure vs. Temp table) changes as well as some shift speed tweaks. Also adjusted WOT shifts to match the 3.42 differential he added. Removed (set to zero) torque management via the two tables, but did not zero out the abuse mode fields.

The car has many other mods I won't go in to here (about 400rwhp).

Are there any special tuning considerations for a torque converter? There are a couple other line pressure tables that I'm totally unfamiliar with.

    Can someone share their experience?

    Thanks

    Re: Torque Converter Tuning

I zeroed out all torque managment tables I could find for the transmission and engine, this includes all the abuse mode tables. Only other thing I did to the tranny was bump up line pressure a hair and speed up the shift delay. I think I set shift time to .175 or .150.
