    Problem with stock 3400 VCM

    Original stock VCM:
    Oldsmobile Alero (V6) 1999
    OS: 9366308

After "Write Entire," original stock 1999 VCM, concerning these calibration tables:

"Maf Calibration" -Airflow vs. Frequency, and "Injector control" -Flow rate vs. KPA.

Even though I am using an LS1 Maf, and 28 lb. injectors instead of the stock 19 lb, the scans show nothing unusual, in fact the fuel trims are almost perfect.

The problem is that at WOT the Cylinder Airmass only reaches 0.68 instead of 0.80, as if the boost level had dropped, yet I see no drop in boost on the boost gauge. And "Delivered Trans Torque" reads about 40-50 less at WOT.

If I try to change to the settings that should be required for the LS1 maf or higher-flow injectors, the PCM seems to go into some failure mode and becomes undrivable after a short time.

And yet, if I use a 2001 model VCM program, I can set the Maf and IFR calibrations to where they should be, and performance tuning is fine, power restored.

What the hell is going on here?
