    Main Spark Advance Histgram request

I'm not sure if this is the place for this or not, if not will a mod please move it to the appropriate location.

I believe this is the correct name for this histogram. I don't use them for tuning, but they are great for data analysis. It is the first histogram when the histogram window opens. I would LOVE to see this histogram for some of the other GTP's out there. I know timing is different for every car, but if we knew what a good average to shoot for was I believe we could all benifit from a better spark advance curve.

The reason - I am struggling with low fuel economy. On the way to Tennessee 2 weeks ago, I only got about 25-26 mpg (250 miles, mostly interstate, average speed 75MPH). I believe my problem is lower than optimal spark advance, but I would liek to see what others with 30+ highway MPG are running.

I know there are many running over 32 MPG, I just can't seem to do it. Once upon a time I was getting 32 highway MPG with my current mods, but not anymore. I plan on looking at some my old VCM files to figure out what may have changed. I know you can't find anything other than a 10% ethanol blend, but I don't know if that is enough to make a difference.

    Thanks in advance!

    Edited for spilleng

    05 GFS table yet Eddie?

I will see if I can catch a screen shot later tonight. Should be pretty close to what you are using.
97 Grand Prix GTP (not going to bother listing mods in detail) 1 messed up 97 PCM with about 30-50% of a 2003 calibration and parts of a few others.

Yep, I've been running an 04/05 timing table for over a year now

Well, maybe a little I stil think there's room for improvement. I'm not trying to hit 50MPG like Jerry ( ), but I would like to see 30 on the hwy.

I've been playing with the O2 voltage threshold table a little and I think it seems to have helped some. Right now I'm up to about 19.5-19.7 MPG (on the DIC) where I was getting a best of about 17.5 (on the DIC) last year. Same route to work, so that hasn't changed. 25 miles each way with a average speed of 27 mph - TRAFFIC SUCKS!!!!!!

Well eddie, since MPG is your concern, this should hopefully do.. Just a low RPM nice drive home. 05 GTP GFS and EGR Spark tables are in consideration in this (bone stock 05 GTP values for both). I normally have GFS a bit higher though.
