    how to check cylinder misfires

i have the standard 499.00 kit. i just recieved it today and have been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. the main reason i bought this was for diagnostic purposes. im trying to read individual cylinder misfires but after all day of searching i have had no luck. i did find where you load the pids into the table display but from what i see i need the other interface to do so. is there a way that i can configure this to work. if so can someone explain it to me clearly? i am having misfire problems under load at part throttle. i need to see what cylinders are misfiring. thanks

    Turn on your laptop
    Click Start-All Programs-HP Tuners-VCM Scanner
Connect your interface to your laptop
Connect your interface to your vehicles obd2 port
    Start the vehicle
Click File-Connect in the vcm scanner
    Open your table(primary) display
Right click on an empty cell and click insert, the insert pid list will open
Open Engine Diag-Misfire and choose the pid's you want to add.
    Close the insert pid list
Then click the start scanning button.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
