Throttl ebody bump stop mod / tuner Qusetion....
so I have done the throttle-body bump stop mod for my LS1 Camaro
and I stopped at 4.69 ohms....
what I have been told is that if I go to 4.7 or higher(meaning more than 90%) that it will set a DTC code....
I dont know which code it sets.... but I would like to know...and would like to know if that code could be disabled so that I could possibly open up the Throttle-body to closer to 100%
anybody know the code???
anybody know If I can turn it off ???
or if it will cause any other issues??
Thanks

You might be able to remove the TPS sensor from the TB with the key on, engine off and twist it by hand beyond 4.7 volts to set the code and get it's number. Then you could possibly disable it in the DTC list.

Re: Throttl ebody bump stop mod / tuner Qusetion..
What you want, is for the blade to stop dead center
in the bore. Period. The electrical output is only a
second-hand indication. You should use a ruler.
Then, if you don't like the TPS output voltages,
you can make that adjustable with a rat-tail file
to the two mounting bolt holes.
But it would take some special manufacturing slop
for dead center mechanical to put you over the top
on TPS voltage.
If you went over center with the grinding you can
always wrap the stop-tang with a bit of aluminum
tape or something.

Re: Throttl ebody bump stop mod / tuner Qusetion..
actually...thats what I did...
I just moved the bolt holes slightly so I coud do that... and I did measure...which is why I wanted to know if I could get rid of the code it would throw
oh yeah...by the way...
