    I believe it works like this...

    After the fuelling trims have been reset, the PCM needs to re-acquire a reasonably sized set of trim data so that statistically, the trims represent a large enough population on which to base its CL fuelling corrections. On the LS1 PCM, this exercise can take roughly 1 Hr or 100 miles, but it's not easy to be precise.

    Maybe for long term trims but short term trims should act instantly to correct the AFR to what the narrow bands think is stoich.
