I've used it before and really like it. The accuracy is far better than almost any other wideband in its price rance.

Yellow -> 5V Reference -> Pin #1 on the side of the MPVI Pro
Brown -> Ground -> Pin #5 on the side of the MPVI Pro

Good choice! I use the same controller, but with the NTK sensor ... as opposed to a Bosch sensor.

i think mine came with a ntk sensor. thats what it said any way. so you just plug those two right in. what did you use for a voltage source to the wideband? i thought about a relay off the batt that comes on with the key.

It does come with the NTK, I emailed them before I bought mine. They said it was to keep the price of the kit down but that if you want to switch to Bosch the controller can detect which type of sensor is installed so it is a plug and play switch.

i would do that too but it says its a bad idea lol. plus i want mine to work all the time with the key on and don't want to have to plug it in every time i get in tahoe. so relay it is then.

Actually, the kit comes with a Bosch LSU4 for economic reasons (cheaper), the NTK sensor is more expensive. Bosch LSU4 can be had from $60-$90, while the NTK sensor is $150-$200. I prefer the NTK sensor, as it is more accurate then the Bosch LSU4.

George, do you know the part number of that Bosch LSU 4? The connector doesn't look like any I've seen. Is it a 4, 4.2 or 4.9? I'm trying to build a matrix of different LSU 4.2 part numbers.

    Bill,
NGK puts their own connector on the Bosch & NTK sensors. You can get adapters from Ballenger.
Apparently they don't use the built in calibration resistor on the AFX.

That's because they have a rotary pot on the unit itself with variable resistance. This is how they allow you to recalibrate as the sensor ages or if you change sensors.

Should have the NTK listed as an EIO Wideband Sensor.
