i have HPT pro. i found a guy on a local forum selling his hpt.
he said it is licensed for 2000,2001,2002 fbodys and for 2004 GTO.
    1. How can i tell if thats right?
    2. He also said it 2 years old so would that be a HPT enhanced IO?
    3. What are the differance in the IO and the pro?
    4. Will i still beable to tune my 00 camaro with it or do i need to but it back to stock?

    thanks curtis

sounds like he has an old serial interface, you could get him to take a screenshot of his license info page so you can view his current licenses.

    2. It could be an enhanced IO or non enhanced IO, you'd need to ask him

    3. you'd need to find out if its a serial interface or pro interface to be able to determine the difference
    4. It sounds like you'd be able to tune your 00 camaro with it since it has the license for 00' fbodies as you stated.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Plugging into a laptop uses no credits, scanning a vehicle uses no credits, reading the file from a pcm uses no credits.

It would be difficult using a serial interface & a usb interface on the same laptop, two usb interfaces is pretty simple to manage though as you'd just need to switch the application key when switching back & forth.
