    boost

    How do i set up the map to read boost and vac? in the scan of my ex's gtp it it would not read boost.

    o what map shoud i get for a 00 ls1?

    You would need a 2 bar map sensor installed in your vehicle to read above atmospheric pressure.

    I scan my gtp just fine for boost but it already has a 2 bar sensor from the factory.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    so in kpa what is boost and waht is vac? i just look at the scan and it hit 158.0 kpa how do i get it to say psi? i tryed once and it still reads the same #s as kpa

    i think my settings are wrong i just changed it to psi and the car at idle is showing 4.5 psi and at WOT it reads 23 psi on a stock car.
    this is all a old scan i am looking at

    What you are seeing is absolute pressure. To get boost you need to subtract atmospheric pressure.

    If you want to just see boost, you could try creating a custom pid, something like ([SENS.30.IMP]-[PID.2340.IMP]). Negative numbers are manifold pressures (in PSI) under ambient.

    It means MAP Sensor in Imperial measurements [SENS.30.IMP] minus Barometric pressure from the BARO Sensor in Imperial Measurements [PID.2340.IMP]

    Imperial = psi in this case.

    When you create a custom PID you need to type in the sensor and pid descriptions in that format.
