Question Do I need dual wide bands?

I have a Z06 which has two separate exhaust banks each of which has a O2 sensor before the cats. Do I need to buy two wide bands to do a good tune or just one? Also has anyone run the widebands to tune, then set them to narrow band and connect to the stock O2 connector to the PCM?

Not necessary but you can. The 2nd will only add that bank's info to your log which will in effect give you an average of both banks.

    Question

Thanks! I guess I'll just order one then. What is the preferred side to weld the bung?

It has been said that number seven runs the leanest.

Yup! Whenever possible, I stick my wideband in the driver's side. Best to tune for the leanest bank and run the other side rich as opposed to the opposite.
