I am running a Chevy Cavalier with a 2.4L Twin Cam engine. I am running some cams that do not have the cam position sensor in them. Can I tune with the car running in batch fire or do I need the sensor. Also is there something I can use to make this work.

My guess is that you need the sensor because the PCM needs to know where the cams are.

All the cam position sensor does is let the pcm know where #1 inj is so it can fire in sequential port mode. But it looks like I can setup HPT for double fire mode in PE. The Quad 4 does not have a cam position sensor.
