After flashing with a new calibration, v4 mode (DOD) is disabled. I have checked the "switches" to ensure it's still enabled in hpt. Any ideas?

I found that the DoD is disabled when the COT is disabled. Just enable the COT, but change the max enrichment to 1.13.

thanks
AHA! This is what I needed maybe. Ive been wanting to 'play' with DOD even though I have a 2006 GTO. I want to try it in open loop mode, see if the fuel cuts off. I am interested in acquiring the parts and retrofitting it, but only if I can make it kick on to begin with
...and it wasnt. ...and I'm sure its because i have COT disabled.
i wonder why GM hasnt included the DoD on all of their vehicles. it is an AWESOME feature, and who wouldnt love to get an additional 5+mpg!!!!
I think there are rev issues with cams on performance vehicles, for example, as well as cost. I think eventually they will put it in more cars as they HAVE to to meet EPA's MPG requirements.
They have it in a V6 now, the new Malibu. Weird. How do they keep the engine in balance? ? ?

I have even contemplated what it would take to add the feature to my LS2, damn TBSS is a gas hog that only gets 12-15 MPG on average.
Drove around yesterday with COT and DOD enabled (despite lacking the associated hardware) but it never turned on the "DOD Requested" bit, and never cut fuel.
I think its hard-coded not to work?
Probably other settings not being revealed.

Any ideas why the DOD quite working after a flash?Originally Posted by LazMan

Real Question: Can you tune a '07 Av 5.3 and still have DOD work?

Make sure you do not have Cat. Over Temperature (COT) disabled. Change it to Enabled.
Disabling this on some tunes causes DOD to stop working as well. It seems Cat OverTemp is the "Master Enable" for everything else on that "page" ... i.e. for both COT and DOD.
Answer to your real question: yes.
