Unhappy HELP!! got an error loading new tune, VCM dead

    2007 Z06, LS7

The software got an error about 1/2 way thru loading the VCM. Tried restarting it twce, got the same error.
Now software won't connect to the VCM, cannot turn on the ignition, car won't start. No key fobs present msg on car, but fobs work to lock/unlock car.

Any way out of this problem? Is the VCm destroyed?

You can't kill an 07 Z06 PCM. Just try a Write Entire.

The E38/E67/E40 (LS2-LS7) PCMs have a native bootloader built into them that does not get written over so you'll be OK with a Write Entire.

Yes, I got superb help from Bill on this. Really strange, the write entire of the file causing the error would not work either.
Did the write entire of the original file, and back in business.

    Thanks,

Cool Deal, you can thank Keith for that tip

But yeah there are usually a dozen ways to attack a vcm recovery depending on the pcm, state of the pcm & state of the vehicle itself so Im glad you contacted us directly and go it worked out quickly

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
