Question hooking up EGT to datalogger

no instructions come with the kit other than warnings against wiring modifications ( i assume that means splicing )

and looking for ideas and help !...

..i assumed this would be easy as i have the wb in now ( hahaha that took me 2 weeks ).....

....now..... i'm not even sure its possible in theory logging afr and egt temps sounded good

Aerospace Logic EGT-100 is the kit.........

1st objective is tying kit into scanner then i assume figuring out user defined calibration parameters ?

the kit has 1 gauge and will read hottest cylinder OR step thru each probe /cylinder

    any ideas ?

Does it have a voltage-mode output that is usable?

After Looking over the documentation at the Aerospace Logic site I'd say it isn't going to work. It displays the temp from up to 6 thermocouple inputs, and optionally the voltage of the power supply. It's doesn't look like it's got any outputs at all.

And you can't hook a thermocouple directly to the pro - the voltage levels are way to small.

Here's the manufacturer page for it: http://www.aerospacelogic.com/site/d...2&Inst=EGT-100 - you can get docs for it there as well.

I bet you can find a thermocouple to either current loop
or 0-5V adaptors and I bet they're on eBay.

But I also bet that EGT box converts the thermocouple
(milli)voltage to something that's full-scale for an analog
to digital converter, and if you knew the guts you could
tap those and bring them out. Kinda like what I did with
    the G-Tech.

Was the manufacturer dumb enough to give you a
    schematic?
