98 Yukon set base timing (replaced distributor)

When replacing the distributor, the cheap manual says to check "Cam Retard" for +2/-2 to set the base timing. I am looking for the OBD2 command to read and display that value (and what is the conversion if any)???

    Thanks
    Scot

this is what i requested to be added to the scanner, a correlation checker so you can set the distributor....same problem with my 98 4.3

I emailed tech support, I'm just very surprised that in 7 years this hasn't been addressed?

I'm running into the same thing on a 98 5.7. Wondering if if the "Cam Offset %" is perhaps the PID we need to use, however I have not been able prove/disprove this yet. Any thoughts on this, or am I gonna have to go borrow a Snap-On to set my timing?
I must be shorter than I think, because it seems I am CONSTANTLY get'n in over my head!
