    Trying to switch VINs and getting Invalid VIN OS Pair?

    I never ran into this but Im trying to take a 02 F body Computer and switch it to a 00. When I type in the new VIN that is the message again.

    It must have a valid vin for the operating system your using. You can check what operating systems were available directly from GM for a specific vin by checking GM's own website http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Ok I did that and heres what it gives me but what does this tell me?
    Im lost sorry What do I have to do in order to fix this?

    So is it saying that part number computer wont work with that car or something? I dont understand?

    If it wasnt an operating system GM offered for that Vin we will not support the combination. We go by GM's standards when it comes to operating systems.

    But how come I was able to tune the car that the computer came out of and now I cant on this one?

    because your trying to change it to a vin that was never available for that operating system in the pcm. Have someone with a tech2 flash it to a valid stock file for that vin and read that file out & you'll be fine.
