    Electric -> cable throttle?

    So the blower truck I play with sometimes, has just
    gotten a "Mustang throttle body" swapped onto it
    (intake setup is now an Edelbrock 4BBL-style, elbow
    and new TB). Oddly enough this caused "Reduced
    Engine Power" and according to my buddy, "about
    800 jillion codes". Until this week it was still drive-
    by-wire.

    What would be the best way to go forward? I'm kind
    of thinking, since it also has received a 4L80E (TCI
    box controlled) maybe finding a cable-throttle HD
    truck OS would be the ticket. If there was such a
    thing at any point in production. I've seen cable
    throttle 5.3s but don't know personally about 6.0s,
    if they were ever made w/ cable throttles.

    Failing that is there anything like "segment swapping"
    just for the cable vs wire throttle?

    Possibly a '99 OS. SI shows a cable throttle body under 4.8, 5.3, 6.0. But I can't remember if there was in fact a 6.0 in '99.

    Edit: Searching GM parts house, it appears that '00-02 the 6.0L was cable operated throttle body.

    We're running a 1999 PCM and FAST throttle body. If you would like the part number PM me and I can get it for you later tonight. Thanks, Rick
