1999 Chevy LS Classic Body style

I have a 97 3/4 ton with the 5.7 vortec and 4.10 gears, does anyone know if there is anything to tune in the trans or engine for anymore power or mileage? it runs good i just ended up with some extra credits and figured i would tune my truck if it would be worth it. TIA

Best bet is a 411 pcm swap. Pm me for lextech email he has spreadsheets. He also sells new connectors and a pcm with the correct tune file already written.

Little confused here the thread title states 99 classic. Your post says 97. If it's a 99 classic it's supported. If it's 97 obs it's not supported. I believe only the 98+ pcm's are supported.

You can tune it if its a 99. There isn't as much that you can change in the black box but you can make the truck run better yes. PE settings suck from the factory, you can dial in your airflow tables, throw more spark at it, and delete TM because your 5.7 won't hurt a 4l80e. You can also increase shift speed and raise shift pressures, and change shift points.
