I've read the licensing faq over and over again and i keep coming back to the "license a file" phrase. What if i have multiple files/tunes for my car?
Is the license being added to the actual file or the vin number?

You are licensing the s/n embedded in the PCM. It shows up as VCM ID: xxxx.., not your file and not your VIN.

Silver 2003 C5 roadster, M6, Euro red/amber tails, Z06 Ti mufflers, Z06 2 cat H-pipe, Z06 airbox, and HPTuners s/w - available to any Corvette or other GM vehicle in Calgary, and also for Ford and Dodge products, including Cummins
That makes sense, why couldnt it say that in the faq?
Nah, that'd be too simple. Then the moderators would have nothing to do.

Most newbie do not under what a serial number in the calibration is, they only understand tune file, VIN and make/model. Hence why they simplified it.
