    PLX vs. AEM WB's

i have a LC1 with diplay right now....... and i freaking hate it. 3 senors and 1 dead LC1

i had a AEM before and got ride of it cause it only read 11:1 they now read 10:1 , never had any trouble with it

and the PLX looks nice for about the same money as the AEM and reads 10:1 also

So what are you asking? I have an AEM, it has been good to me. Although I have an NTK AFX (91101) on the way.

No experience with anything other than my AEM but I like it a lot. Very easy setup. The only thing that may make you shy away from it is the lack of configuration/outputs. You can set it to 0-5V, 0-1V, 0-2V (I think) and nerst emulation to simulate a narrow band but there is only one output so you can't have one output emulate a narrow band and the other be a 0-5V signal like the LC's. Not sure about whether this is possible on the PLX.

Well the AEM can too, but not provide a 0-5V output at the same time. One or the other on the AEM.

I have had the PLX and a DynoJet wideband. The AEM uses the same sensor as the DynoJet.

My PLX died and I won't be fixing it as it has accuracy issues near stoch. PLX reads 15.5, actual is 14.7 (closed loop at highway cruise will always be 14.7).

My PLX is doing the same. it reads 15.4 at closed loop highway cruise. no way in hell I'm going to trust it for any kind of WOT tuning until I can compare it to somehitng and the only way to compare is to buy another WB. Not sure which one I want to buy just yet but seriously I have to vote against the PLX as well.

Powerdex AFX. With the AFX you can use either the Bosch LSU sensor or the NTK/NGK. It's nice to have the choice.

I tried calling PLX yesterday and today (during business hours) and the phone just rang. In the past including last week they always answered.

I told the tech about this and he was supposed to get back to me after researching. I am going to let them know that others have the same issue.

Does yours 14.7 in open loop highway cruise ???

Have you contacted them by phone or email ???

I've not contacted them yet. I've only had it a week or so but it reads 2.33v with the sensor unpluged and when I plug it in slowly creeps up to 4.81v. Odly it seems right on at WOT car comands 12.8 AFR at wot and the WB reads right about there. Right now I have the PLX set to sim the stock NB so instead I'm going to have a bung welded into my exhaust and go back to the stock narrowband for the PCM. I don't like the lazy O2 readings of the WB sim.. plus since this WB is off and simming the NB o2 I'm sure the PCM is now off too. After its back to a stokc NB Then I may pick something that is actually accurate up instead.
