can i run just a WB probe????

ok im new to this...i have not messed with wideband, i know how to read it and what it is but i am just wondering if i can just power the prob itself and just use the signal wire on it and get a reading..the reason i am asking is i want to hook it to my AEROFORCE GUAGE ....can i just ground the heater ground wire, and hook the heater + wire to 12v source, and thengrab the 0-5v reading from the signal wire????

just the probe, a BOSH LSU42.. run a 12 v wire to the heater + and gound the heater ground.

    the wiring is
    pump + = red wire
    sensor+ = black wire
    heater- =white wire
    pump-/sen = yellow wire
    heater+ = grey wire

so i am going to wire the heater up and run the signal wire to the aeroforce guage .....

Wont as long as the Wb probe has power wont the signal wire read 0-5 volts??

no...you need a controller of some sort

the 5 volt outout is created by the controller
and you cant use the sensor without some sort of controller

pcm is the controller for our narrowbands
