    Scanner won't read 3bar

I have a 3bar tune in my car and when we scan it the scanner only goes up to 1bar. I attached my file below.

MAKE SURE you follow steps 18,19,20 as listed here http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_edi...ters_gm_os.htm

    18. (This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only)
Open VCM Scanner and connect to the vehicle. Open the Table display (Scan -> Table Display). Right-click the "Manifold Air Pressure (SAE)" PID and select "Delete". This removes the existing 1 bar PID from the table, if you don't do this the histogram will not function correctly.

19.(This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only)
Right-click again on the table display cell and select "Insert", go to the Engine -> Airflow section and choose either the "Manifold Air Pressure - 2 bar" or "Manifold Air Pressure - 3 bar" PID, double-click to insert it into the table.

20.(This step for 2bar and 3bar enhancement only)
Save the new scanner configuration using File -> Save Config.

these are often missed and 99% of the time is the issue

when I right click and go to insert. It only shows Manifold Air Pressure. It does not show the 2 or 3bar options.

you need to do another log & follow the steps I posted...you can't alter a log you've already completed.

I did exactly what you posted. I connected to the car. Went to display -> table. Then right clicked on the Manifold Air Pressure and deleted it. Then right clicked on that block hit insert. Went to Engine -> Air Flow -> and the 2 and 3bar are not listed. There is Manifold Air Pressure but doesnt not say 2 or 3bar.

I posted the above scan b/c I was asked to in the first post. I did not try to do those steps to that log.

the only other thing I can think of is you didnt actually do a write entire with that hpt file that you posted above. Easiest way to check that would probably be to do a read entire on the pcm as it stands to see if it pulls out that same file with the extended ve table.

oh and this might be a horribly stupid sounding question to you but for the record did you install a 3 bar map sensor?

I went into the chart configuration and went to chart 2 and changed the max KPA from 105 to 315. Will this work or will it still read incorrect?

    yea I did.

your config file really does nothing to help us.

    a. I still would like for you to read the pcm to see what file is in it right now.
    b. I still would like to know if your running a 3 bar map sensor.
