    Connecting to cobalt issues

Recently I've notice the interface won't connect to certain cobalts and one 2.4 Solstice. It won't scan or read entire and I get the error message saying "make sure key is in ignition stage". Now here's the strange thing, I check the battery voltage and it's like 12.9V, so I charge it anyway and after a while it connects. Then the next day same problem with the same car and I check the battery and it's like 13.5V.

When the interface doesn't connect, I try it on another cobalt and it connects right away, so I know it's not the interface. The battery voltage on the cobalt that works is 12.3V.

I have VCM Suite Standard edition.

I had that problem on an 06 Cobalt SS (LSJ).
Here's a partial (temporary) solution from the HPT folks:

Move (not copy) all your .cfg files in your "C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCMSuite" directory to a new subdirectory location (save for later) and fire up the editor. You will probably have to reinstall your application key (available at your HPT login on the main HPT website) and re-ping your hardware. Then use the standard write and all should be good.

You may want to re-build any custom configurations that you saved in the other subdirectory.
