    2013 6.2 6R80 shift Flare/drag

I'm having an issue on my truck that is beyond my level of knowledge. When the transmission is under ~120 degrees I get a bad binding/dragging and long 4-5 shift. When its is above ~120 degrees it shifts perfectly normal. When I reset the adaptive memory it initially shifts 4-5 perfectly normal regardless of temp until it learns its way back to shifting terribly. It also has an occasional 3-4 flare when hot and shifts 3-4 perfect when cold, this is more minor. I recently changed the lead frame and fluid, everything looked fine inside the trans and the fluid and magnet looked about as expected for the mileage. I don't know if I am chasing a mechanical or tuning issue, perhaps one of you 6r80 experts could shed some light? I'm happy to log but not sure what parameters are the correct ones to watch.

If it needs a rebuild that's fine but I don't want to go down that path just to have it do the same thing after. The fact that is is capable of great shifts under certain conditions makes me think it might be tuning related. The truck had a (questionable)tune already when I bought it. I have since been using HpTuners to adjust some of the things I didn't like(pinging while towing, timing was advance up to 12 degrees over stock!). The torque values now show low-no errors on logs. I have used the trans tuning tables from the existing aftermarket tune and also the stock tune for the truck and while it changes the behavior I think the root problem is still there. I have viewed some of the other 2013 F-150 files in the repository and see some pretty drastic differences on some of the transmission values but I'm not sure what they all mean. I am tempted to upload the stock 5.0 6r80 trans parameters just to see if it has an effect but don't want to cause further problems. Thanks for any help.

Post a log so that we can see what is actually going on when it is acting up. Be sure to include all the transmission parameters and to log both cold when it is acting up and warm once it feels fine.

Does someone pls point me to the parameter significance which I see in Forscan for TCM, below . Me too have some issue with 6r80, and unable to interpret the PID values and its significance . I do see the actual slip is different that slip desired in gears even on 3 or evn on 5th . When desired slip is 1020, does it mean actual can vary from 0 to 1020 ? , also the shift rpm drop and rise too have some variations.
    Attached few graph too
