New E92 / T87 VIN overwrite?

If I purchase an E92 ECM with a 2015 Corvette Stingray calibration loaded on it, can I use HPT to overwrite the VIN with my 2014 Corvette's VIN? We removed the 6L80 and swapped in an 8L90. We have a new T87 TCM installed with a 2015 Corvette calibration, but need to change the VIN# on the T87 as well. So I guess two questions:

1) Can I overwrite the new E92 ECM VIN# w/ HPT to match my vehicle's VIN and will that cause VATS issues, etc
2) Can I overwrite the new T87 TCM VIN# w/ HPT?

You would need GM reprogramming software to try this. HPTuners can not do that.
