I'm a newb to gen V tuning and I know enough gen 3/4 to get me in trouble. So when your explaining, talk to me like i'm 5. . Now that that's out of the way.....
I have a 78 C10 with a L83 swapped 6 speed manual running a E92 ecm and harness from PSI conversions for my application. I am not using a fuel pump control module so i have a regulated 74psi to the engine. The truck runs/ starts no issue with good power. I have a hanging/elevated idle when letting off of the throttle. Annoying to drive since the rpms jump up in between shifts and occasionally elevate to 3k while at a stop. Putting a load on the engine by letting out the clutch will bring it down but can re occur at the next stop. I've contacted PSI and they stated the idle needs to be "set". I have an autel Maxisys and HPT. I've done the "idle set " and throttle clean with no luck.
