    long term fuel trim is high and misfire

    2002 gmc test drive air fix.hpl not sure want is going on.. all stock no tune, just trying to get it running smoooth i smoked and egr is leaking . ivery small leak thinking a block off plate.. will a have to tune it or just tune off. ??

    You can't tune around a mechanical problem. If the EGR is leaking you need to either fix it or delete it and turn off the stuff in the calibration.

    Also you should check your fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge. If that isn't within spec, that can also cause higher than normal fuel trims.

    And if you are getting misfires you should check all the spark plugs and their gap. If the truck has really high miles you could also have the injectors cleaned to make sure they are spraying the fuel good.
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
