VVE Zone Boundaries - between cells vs. within cells?

I noticed some of my VVE zone boundaries fall between cells (red lines in attachment), but others fall in the middle of a cell (blue lines). Has anyone assessed or thought about whether one situation is more advantageous to promote smooth transitions between zones?

I think something is displayed wrong in that pic. Zones should always be on one side or the other of the cell.

These were my stock RPM zone boundaries. Note that 1,200 and 3,200 are center points of my columns rather than lying between cells. I have since shifted them.

The only way it could fall in between cells is if there were 50's in those settings, such as 1250 instead of 1200, which I guess is possible but I've never seen before? Also don't know why it would make sense to do that from the OE's standpoint?

I have found that the columns sometimes don't split exactly as you would think. Like 3000 | 3200 | 3400 , The column split for 3200 Could mean it starts at 3200 or ends at 3200. Very odd but I learned that when changing the boundaries on some cars.

I assume its the same situation as a old GEN 4 car with high/low MAF tables but both have 5800.

I don't know which is should weigh more but regardless the table should be smooth around them.
