C7 Z06 M7 Rev Match Virtual Torque Issue

I have been dealing with throttle hesitation on tip-in when rev match is enabled. After doing some research I figured it was a VT issue. I saw a few others corrected this issue by tuning the VVE. I did that (within 5%) and it seems to help a little but I still have hesitation.

Does anyone see anything particularly off in this torque model that may be causing it?

You throttle issue is a combination of things. First your VE is a mess. It shouldn't have those deep trenches. I just used my back calculating formula from MAF and it was showing really low in places. Next, your airmass side of your torque model is junk and a lot of your throttle problem. Map sides possibly too low, but hard to tell with the VE in a mess. Then your DD needs work. Those 3 should take care of the large majority. There are other tables that can be changed to make it really peppy, but those 3 will do a lot for it.

This happens a lot of time when tuners just arbitrarily "disable" Dynamic Airflow by weighting towards the MAF. The MAF is simply too slow for throttle blips. You have to really dial in the VVE and MAF when you do this. Sometimes this is exacerbated by aggressive changes in the Driver Demand table to make up for some airmass issues elsewhere.

If you put VVE & Dynamic Air back to stock, I suspect your issue will improve greatly. Your VVE table is horrific. I'm surprised you don't have more issues than what you've posted. You would be far better off with a stock VVE vs what is there now. A word of advice, if you're trying to adjust your VVE, just do it zone by zone and keep it smooth. Meaning if you need fuel off idle, only add a percentage to the zone or zones one at a time as a blanket value. This will get you in the ballpark and then you can hand shape once you get things closer.

Greg and TriPinTaZ speak the truth.

Also....Cringer has a VVE tool and a MAF tool to help you get dialed in. On YouTube he's "SilverSurfer77" https://www.youtube.com/@SilverSurfer77/videos If you elect to use the tools he created, be sure you have your filters set correctly. Someone didn't ....and I chased my tail for two weeks.
