I was doing a lot of tuning with both HPT and EFIlive and I came across them in EFIlive in some files I was going back and forth between the softwares and those table weren't in HPT.

Anyway, rolling idle works differently than the throttle cracker, even though the numbers come up as cracker in your data. Yes, the earlier OSs didn't have them and that's the reason I do ALOT of OS updates on certain cars just to have those tables.

Yes, most vehicles can and do run just fine without using them, but they work remarkably well in all cases and can be used as a cure-all especially in more radical combos, bigger cams, light flywheels, that kinda stuff.

Oh yeah almost forgot, rolling idle is the only way to get the cracker to work in a clutch car.

    That is all.
what OS update is needed to use rolling idle in my application? and what else does the tune look like it needs besides the spark and airlfow tables that im aware of?

Your OS has the rolling idle tables.

still have to play around with spark and airflow but, whatever you changed definetly helped. It only surged maybe once or twice in my whole driving experience today.

Throttle cracker and idle spark corrections. If you want to see changes between tune files Compare>Open Comparison file then Compare>View Comparison log. Another way is Edit>View Change/History Logs.

I just noticed that you had SD settings incorrect. P0101-P0103 were MIL On Second Error. Those need to be First Error. MAF Fail Frequency High should be 0 not 100Hz. Applied below.

Accurate VE is a huge component of idle stability btw. Normally I would have checked those settings a long time ago, but your VE table looked legit. Still, let's check. Run another log if you don't mind.

Let's throw some EOIT in there while we're at it. SS2 cam I presume? Use VCM Scanner>Vehicle Controls and Special Functions to clear LTFT's after flashing the tune.

I was unsure of what you meant by clear ltft so i did one log with the fuel trims turned off and one log after the ltft were reset. Truck is running much better can thank ya enough.

After loading the tune close VCM Editor then open VCM Scanner. Go to Vehicle Controls & Special Functions. LTFT reset should be under the Fuel tab.

See how this does. I lowered the idle spark area to 18* from 23*. At idle the spark corrections are driving down spark to the 20* range and are compensating wildly. The goal is to smooth out idle. Increased throttle cracker a bit, reduced base timing for KR, turned off burst knock (predictive with throttle stab), and worked VE.

okay so the second log named reset should be what you were looking for with the ltft reset. If you need me to redo it lmk and ill log another drive tomorrow with the tune you just sent.

Yeah VE needs adjusted, but I'm looking at the O2 traces and seeing a few inconsistencies. Does this truck have longtubes installed? Seems things got worse as far as idle stability from the last log. Went the other way with idle spark and airflow. There are a few changes in this file, so let's see how it goes.

I noticed yesterday there is a bolt missing on my downpipe on the passanger side. The truck has aftermarket short tubes im gonna fix the exhaust leak today and then give that tune a shot
