    Just to clarify I don't think a screen will prevent reversion. I think the MAF is reading turbulent airflow - air going in different directions.

    A very long time ago (2011 or so) I had a customer with stock C6 Corvette having very unstable MAF signal while cruising. It did run very nicely when forcing at SD but being stock I didn't want to tune it but just send him back to the dealer.
