No spar with new ecm and tune

Good morning, I?m new to tuning. I had to put a new ECM into my swapped 5.3 GEN four, and I pretty much put the exact tune page for page on the new ECM that was on my old one that became corrupt from a previous tuner, the corrupt file was identified by another member on this forum gratefully, so it was a copy page per page, except for the corrupt file. I have no spark at the plugs can anyone take a look at my file and see what might be causing this? Also, I connected the old ecm and the engine will start and run for a second and shut off, so I don?t think it?s an issue on the mechanical side. Thank you.

Did you write entire to disable vats?

A log might be helpful. It could be a bad crank sensor or something.

yes under OS it shows the vats are disabled. I can pull a log and post. I just replaced the crank sensor when the original ECM went bad, “well when I thought went bad anyways”, a couple weeks ago. I was getting a crank sensor relearn code. The only codes I’m getting now are a few evaporative emission system codes and a fuel level sensor a circuit high code with the new ecm connected

The calibration file can say VATS disabled, but if you did not do a WRITE ENTIRE it's not applied to the PCM.

That being said VATS normally just disables the injectors, not spark. There's basically nothing in a calibration file that would make you not have any spark. If you have RPM signal it should have spark.

As a footnote, PCMs very rarely "go bad". Calibration files very very rarely "get corrupt". Both of those I interpret as "I don't know what I'm doing or talking about". No offense meant.

Post the original file from the "corrupt" PCM.

Next question is, what problem did the original PCM have that led you to the belief it is "corrupt"?

Well, I really don?t know what I?m doing. The videos I watched on YouTube just showed guys going in and clicking disable that, that?s why I figured that?s all I had to do. And I was told by HP tuner tech-support that my ECM was corrupt by the files that I sent them that they requested because it would not allow me to license the ECM to write a file to it, which they also said was something the previous tuner had done. that?s why I ordered a new ECM to begin with.

Sorry, here is the original corrupted tune that I posted in a different section on this forum, and another user told me was corrupt

So you don't have the calibration out of the "corrupt" PCM? What files did you send to HPtuners tech support?

That actually does look a little wonky. No VIN or serial number.

Open this one up and see if it lets you license it. It still might not but give it a try.

Thank you. Just so you know that file is an exact copy of the original file that was on the old ECM, I went page for page and made everything identical. I did not want to upload that file directly to the new ECM just in case it screwed up the new one if that makes sense, would you probably would not have let me do it anyways because of the licensing thing. I will have to try it when I get home.

I'd try flashing the old computer.

I can’t even connect to the old ECM. It just keeps saying failed.

Now that I?ve done some further research and talking to somebody on the phone that I know, I did not do the ?write entire? I must?ve missed that on all the videos I?ve watched about disabling that. So I will try that this evening and see if it works. Thanks

I did the write entire and now the engine starts and cuts off immediately. Also got a fail on the tcm when it tried to write
