    FSCM Read Blues

Yesterday was a day of research and learning. I had to replace my laptop with a new OS (windows 11). That is a different story in itself. After pulling a read from my 2014 Chevy Tahoe PPV, I for some reason read the FSCM. This caused me a great deal of issues. This is what I found after several hours of research and headaches. I am a NOVICE and not looking to be a tuner. Just like to learn and do my own stuff if possible. I have come to the understanding, there is no reason to read the FSCM (in my case) because I will not be making changes to it. This is what and how the issue of not having license credits to write the new tune:

This is what I did and why I think I had the issues:

    1. I read the FSCM along with the ECM and TCM
    2. I then created a tune with that read.
    3. A license was not purchased for the FSCM
    4. It was my conclusion; the tune included the FSCM and would not allow the write because of no license for the FSCM
    5. After deleting the tune with the FSCM, and a new read with only the ECM and TCM, was made, a new build with the only the ECM and TCM new parameters was built
    6. MAJIC! All was good and the new tune loaded fine with the changes needed.

Took me several hours to find all of the information to understand what and how to correct my error.

There's a much easier way. Click on Edit then Calibration details, then controllers, then each additional controller will have a "double click to remove" button.

You would then double click to remove the FSCM and then save the calibration file.

Yes, I followed those instructions, and I was not given the option to double click to remove.

    Not sure why?

This is right in the 1 and only sticky in this section FSCM & CCM Tuning and licensing
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Does uploading the tune from the car again and deselecting the fpcm not a valid option for you guys? Better that than spend $50 if you don't need to.
