Question Credits used on ECM/PCM when updated at dealer

Question. If you have licensed a vehicle and its ECM/PCM but have that specific ECM/PCM updated at a dealership for a bulletin/campaign, even though there is no VIN change or ECM/PCM change will you need to re-license it?

I replaced an E69 ECM with one programmed by Flagship1 and didn't relicense.

It really is vehicle/ecm dependent as we need to use several different licensing strategies that vary based on the ecm type.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

So if it asks to re-license is it a matter of opening a support ticket? Or is it a matter that more credits will need to be used for the same ECM/PCM with the same VIN?

We handle them on a case by case basis.
