    8l90e question

Hey guys I am taking the evans performance training for gms currently and noted that on the stock file for the 6.2 with the 8l90e it does not show hardly anything unlike the 6l80e transmission. I have the bluecat tool for transmission tuning so I am wondering what am I missing in order to be able to edit and tune the 8l90e transmission?8l90etranstab.png

    Edit > view > advanced.

    Then open it again.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Wouldn't it be super cool if other people were able to open that file you have a questions about, to see if they see the same things you see? UPLOAD THE FILE. Don't make us guess.

I did manage to find one that has the same setup 6.28l90e that shows all the transmission stuff so the attached file is the example one I was looking at originally. This other file does show me what I was looking for.Ryan's 2017 Silverado High Country tuned pcm and tcm file with some cadillac tcm settings and up.hpt

You do have your TCM unlocked through HP Tuners right?

tried a different read file and I can see it on that one with the same setup so I am assuming the stock file I was looking at as an example did not have it unlocked as I can see it in the second file I attached just fine.

There is no TCM in the first file. Look at 'Calibration Details.' No TCM, only ECM was read.

Thanks for the help guys, now I just need to figure out how to load the bluecat information into the transmission tune after entering all the data. Shame it doesn't work for the export feature.

The file you download from the truck has to include both modules, you can't apply Bluecat data to a file that doesn't have the transmission in it.
