Fixed Problems with new 6L build

The tuner fixed the problem in the VE

Having a weird issue with my project and currently trying to figure a solution. At highway speeds it will go lean for a second 18.1afr then go back to 14.6. Then after 20 seconds it will go rich for a second 11.1 then go back 14.6.
One time it had spark knock.

Other problems converter is locking early in second gear when it shouldn't. And getting a p0101 dtc. Have replaced maf with new Delphi unit and swap map sensors.

I have attached the tune and a log file. Maybe we are missing something.fixsensors.hplfuelgauge.hplFan2 411 6.0 4L60 Base tune Rev 03 MAF adj.hpt

Tomorrow I will have a fuel pressure gauge installed so I can log fuel pressure.

    Build:
    6L
    Stock fuel system
    Stock intake
    electric fans
    long tube headers
    stock air intake

It's trying to run the catalyst test which it can't since the cats & rear O2s were removed?

P0101 occurs when mass airflow deviates from volumetric efficiency airflow. The table for it is under Engine Diag. Could try switching to SD to see if it runs lean in the same areas. Does look like a fuel pressure problem, though.

Yes the Cats and rear 02 sensors were removed. How do I shut off the catalyst test?

Have to let it fail the test. Plug in the rear O2's and have them zip tied up somewhere if you can't put them back in the pipes. Credit to Blindsquirrel for that info btw.

Put the rear 02 sensor back in and drove around. Still having the same issue with it going lean/ rich. Still getting code p0101

Yeah that's not going to fix P0101. It's meant to stop the cat tests from running. P0101 has an entirely different cause. Looks like you adjusted MAF with fuel pressure or vacuum problems, and this caused it to deviate from VE enough to trigger the fault.

Try a write entire with this file and see if it gets rid of the afr swing. If not it will at least fix it at idle. Should get rid of the afr swing unless iat is below 0*c(hpt limit).

Got the fuel pressure sensor and gauge installed today. Can log fuel pressure now. Still having same problem.
Need to troubleshoot p0101 code and check wires tomorrow

Log voltages for the downstream O2's B1S2 and B2S2. A dead sensor will behave just like an unplugged one and show 451mV. Return DTC's for the rear O2's back to stock as a diagnostic aid. Follow the driving procedure in the pdf attached above to complete the readiness test.

Emissions status can be viewed through VCM Scanner>Diagnostics & Information. Along with the log, post a screenshot of that status window when you're done.

I'm also seeing 'P0122 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low' in the log.

P0122 is a faulty code. I forgot to plug the idle air speed back in before starting the truck.

Just to note, I'm the tuner, and discovered my error in the VE table.
When I converted the Cyl Disp from a 4.8 (Orig tune f or this truck) to a 6.0, I forgot to recopy the orig VE table back in.

Engine Diag/Airflow/P0101 table, multiply by 1.5. Problem solved. Carry on with life.
