Need help afr gauge to coinside with hp tuners

New guy here so i apologize because im sure its been on here prior.
I had the aem 30-300. Could not get it to work with hp tuners.
    Oh. 94 z28 with a 411 swap
So, i sent it back and am thinking of the 30-334 since it says it works with hp through the pass through. But nothing shows how to hook up the pass through so im not sure it works either.
The 300, from what i see you need a pro link cable plus 250 for prolink features. i have the pro link cable but if i can avoid the 250 for hp, that would be awesome.
The 300 i tried through my egr to no avail.
Does the 334 work better? Easier since its pass through?
Maybe with the 300 i didnt set it up correctly in hp through my egr. I do not know. As i say im new to all this, tuning n stuff. So many different videos n different ways for the egr set up. I followed all n again, im just lost and could use some help please.

step1. buy AEM Wideband from reputable seller
step2. Properly ground the Wideband and install
step3. Wire to EGR input on the ECU
step4. Create custom math which converts EGR 0.5v-4.5v signal to a wideband air fuel ratio
step5. Calibrate the analog offset based on actual gauge air fuel reading vs logged air fuel reading at various electrical loads and operating conditions (you may need 2 or 3 different analog offset custom maths for this)
