Did i make a licensing mistake

hey all, ive had my 99 k1500 for going on 10 years now. initially i purchased credits for the black box ecm to change my vss signal since i have 35s and 4.56 gears, the calibration from stock with that setup was way out of wack.

i have to reseal the bottom end and was thinking some cam work and so forth which would require tuning and the black box is lackluster. in looking towards the 0411 pcms id like to have the vin of the truck written in it which is no big deal but do i have to get all new credits to license the new pcm for the same truck?

i guess if the answer is out there and ive read it upon my research i havent quite understood it, or maybe its not the answer my brain wants.

Yep. The credit is locked to the serial number in that PCM.
So you have to buy a couple more to be able to tune the new LS PCM.
