Thread: 1971 suburban with E 38 with L96 6l90 P0606

    1971 burb as found 12_3_23_226pm - ETC test.hpt

    That's using all the throttle tables copied from this file: 2013 Tahoe 1GNSCBE0XDR190936 5.3 LMG 1436583546.hpt
    (I did check the calibrations and both VINs use the same Engine & Slave segments so it's not impossible that this will be the fix, and those tables never should have been changed by PSI)

    So the guy at PSi told me I had the wrong MAF Scaller.. so i put in the defaults he sent to me .. i ran it not P0606 on a couple hard runs that would of done it in the past..i will attach the log.. I saved the log file.. was going to do one more run and call it a win.. then as i was getting on it pretty hard.. the truck killed lost power altogether...pulled over changed blown master fuse.. was going home so put it on the main till i got home.. as got on it made a P606 show up again... but maybe fluke... i need to investigate what blow the fuse on the hard last run .. but as you see in the log file .. the first couple times it did not go the P0606 at the typical spots.

    good test run but it kiiled.hpl

    after good test run but did p0606.hpl

    thanks to all that are helping out ..not a professional tuner by no means just trying to get my project to run with a stock motor.

    There is no 'fluke' that will set a P0606 without there being an actual problem.

    Ok I will try this also and see what happens and update you I apprecitae your help .

    No I understand that I must meet certain criteria to set the certain code..just trying to be optimistic i guess.. Its hard chasing a problem you cant see.. Thanks again @blindsquirrel

    Problem sloved.. I want to first thank you for helping in the matter.. i ran it and attached the files.. could not make it P0606 at all .

    I'm a nobody ex-dealership guy who couldn't tune his way out of a wet paper bag, you'd think that people who are supposed to be professionals at this swap stuff would know you can't transplant those ETC tables from one operating system to another like that. Sheesh.
