    Cylinder Airmass & BRAF

Guys, I don't know much about BRAF effects on Cylinder Airmass. However, I noticed that when I let off the gas in 3rd or 4th gear at 1600-1800 rpm, that the car would go into DFCO rather quickly. I logged Cylinder Airmass and made an adjustment. Either I must have gotten lucky or the cold air had an effect on it; because according to the screen grab, It increased the airmass in the .20 row @ 1600-2000rpm. I checked prior logs and the airmass in that area was .19-.19x. So, does BRAF have an effect on Airmass or is this coincidental?

BRAF affects cylinder airmass only in regards to how much the throttle plate closes at those specific rpm intervals. Lower values = more engine braking or a more closed throttle plate which then in turn = lower cylinder airmass. At least that's how it is in the majority of cases.

You can also adjust your "brake" setting to control how much the plate closes.
