Trans 4l80 does not make gears correctly

I am having a problem with the trans, it does not want to make any type of change, it is well configured, it is a 4l80 in a 4gen ls swap, my odometer reads 255kmh and the trans since you start starting it is set in 4th gear, what should I do? adjust the shift points? I don't understand what is happening and it is extremely urgent to fix this problem, I suspect it is because it reads 255kmh

You would have to have a GEN 4 OS that uses a 4L80e transmission. Otherwise you need a stand alone. Others might chime it on this but I personally don't know of any GEN 4 4L80e's. If there is you may have to change PCM's, have it SPS'd and then do the tune. A lot of work but not undo-able.,

Post the tune. Most likely you have GMLAN settings mismatch between ECM and TCM.

4L80e doesn't have a TCM. It's one of the stupid but good trans. Most situations like this people will use a stand alone controller and the ECM will be used as a manual.

I'm lost. I have only dealt with Gen 3 4L80e/4L60e's that are part of the PCM. Unless you mean the early model Hummer H1's that had the separate TCM controller. Is that what you mean? Are there GEN 4's that have 4L80e's?

When in a Gen 4 they absolutely do. Lots of 07-08 Suburban 60s with 4L80s.

Do you have a part number on those? I have one right now that uses a stand alone and it would be great to convert.

If they don't match, what should I do? Is there somewhere where I should change something? I don't have my laptop at the moment so I can't send the file

I could be wrong, but pretty sure Verlon has to change the settings in the background to match. That's why he was wanting the files.

Otherwise you would need to use sps and flash everything to the one with a 4l80e from factory including the ecm and then you would need to make sure it was using the right tables for the time period 4l80 as some of those changed.

That's were I got messed up. Being a GM factory tech when someone says TCM I think a TCM module. Those I have seen but that was in the 6.5 diesels. When someone says T42 I think PCM not ECM. I do appreciate the info on the GEN 4 4L80e though. I actually have one I need to do in a couple weeks. That tune file will work nicely.
Thanks everyone. Learn new stuff every day.

Bad news. Your TCM has been taken from 2007 Chevrolet Cruze VIN 1G1AK55F577104910 and still has calibration for 4T45E.
It does not communicate with ECM being configured as ETEI2 while ECM is ETEI3.
I made them talk to each other but it is worthless.

You have to flash TCM to something good as starting point.
I recommend 2008 Express 3500HD RWD w/4L80E VIN 1GCHG39K081219826 to match your ECM model year and GMLAN settings.
