    3 bar speed density

    I am trying to tune with SD, i went into the OS and clicked on the 3 bar, and it gave me an error, and now shows unlicensed / applied. I still have no table to tune with.

    Also, i see a lot of config files on here, as i am looking for a base tune, but i am unable to open them for some reason. Is it possible to get a base tune.

    when i try to open one, it says it did not pass verification.

    Any help is appreciated.

    .cfg files are for the scanner...they arent tunes.

    post your stock operating system tune & I'll try and see why your having an issue applying 3 bar.

    What version are you using?

    There have been roughly 200 versions of 2.1, you'll need to be more specific.

    FWIW the most recent public offering is 2.1.16 now. Give me a sec & I'll convert your file for you, but you'll need to upgrade to .16 to be able to read it.

    Bring back up from the dead, I'm also getting the "unlicensed/applied" tag on the three bar map OS. I haven't tried installing it in the car but the portal still shows 8 credits so I'm assuming there is more I need to do? I am on editor version 2.1.18.0

    Thanks

    Yeah, been there, done that. Searched (how I found this thread) etc. Nothing in the help file under topic "operating system" tells me why the OS id under the OS tab tells me it's converted from 12202088 but it says unlicensed/applied. It does go in-depth about the dangers of the write entire process so it seems good due diligence to make sure this file is safe to write to my PCM.

    its because you havent licensed it but applied the custom operating system.

    I see, thanks. I think the problem is my lack of understanding of when the license is actually acquired and applied. Is it when the binary is actually written to the vcm? Everything I've done so far has been per instructions and I even watched soundengineer's video on the process but I haven't seen where I actually "spend" my credits. I guess I am expecting to be challenged to spend the credits at some point and to see the 3 bar map os become licensed. I haven't found anything in the help files yet. Probably over analyzing it but I want to make sure of what I'm doing before I commit something and regret it.

    when you used credits its licensed...when you don't use credits but convert to a new operating system it means its applied.

    Oh so by applied it means I don't need to spend credits to convert to the new OS? Somewhere I got the impression applying the 3 bar map os had a cost of 2 credits. So I should be able to apply this new OS to the car without any issues then? Sorry for the stupid questions...

    lol...apply=convert

    license=use credits

    when you go to load the converted file to your pcm it will ask you to license(use credits) to do so.

    That's what I was looking for lol. I'm sitting here waiting for something to ask me to license the conversion and wondering what I missed. Thanks again for walking me through that.
