can someone tell me if my tune is safe??

I've had my car tuned by a well-known tuner; however, I've tried contacting him about my issues and don't get any feedback. the problems I'm having is my car seems to have some idle hang as well as when I press in the clutch the rpms drop down below the desired set rpm. my IAC counts are high 160+ range which I've heard you can adjust set screw to fix problem. My other concern is whenever I drive the car and get out it smells like I just poured gasoline all over myself. from what I can tell it seems to be pulling out a lot of fuel. if someone could look over the tune and tell me if they see anything concerning, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

way too much timing its not a small block chevrolet- is it?

    No wideband in the log.
    Not logging commanded air fuel

Missing critical parameters and missing wideband but based on what I see with the timing 30 degrees is a not good 100KPA should be about 22 maybe 23 at 3000rpm not 30 for an LS style engine

I'll look into adding that channel I don't currently have a wideband as I'm not a tuner nor know hardly anything about it just figured i would get info on here before going to another person. I don't want to call the guy out, but he has a very large school for tuning as well as tunes for very big-name shops. it only took him an hour to tune the car which seemed very weird to me guessing he had a base file from many other cars.

You don't need a wideband for idle and part throttle tuning.

This doesn't look that good. PE is commanding very rich. The VE table.. well you get the exact same table if you take the stock VE table and hit smooth like 4 times. So it looks like no VE tuning. And it's done in a sorta MAF only way which is not optimal at all for a cam like this.

Here is a guide for setting the throttle body up. I'll warn you that this has to come really after the fueling is situated. Else you'll be compensating for a poor idle with airflow you don't need.

And for you and anyone else reading this.. If your tuner doesn't want your car for a couple days to do a cammed tune.. Well he's planning on not doing the entire job.. 1 hour for a car like this?

Ever watch Hells kitchen? You get all these chefs that call themselves chefs and work at restaurants or own restaurants talk big lots of confidence and guess what ... only 2 or 3 of them can actually cook.

Same thing here. Same thing everywhere. Confidence and owning a business is meaningless in cooking and tuning and engine building and so forth.

You asked about tuning safety, specifically. Safety is most important at and near wide open throttle. My comment was made about wide open throttle, and therefore safety issues obviously, because that is where you need safety to prevent engine damage. If I was to bring up anything about part throttle tuning and idle tuning after you asked about safety and started telling you that you don't need a wideband when the question was about safety with wot tuning it would make absolutely no sense and pointless and only confuse you.

So, Do you need a wideband? absolutely. Every performance vehicle should have a wideband. And since its in there you may as well use it to help tune with all ventures.

Have you tried setting up injection timing?

Ok. There's apparently an elite cookie-cutter tune going around that's been going around. Mine looked like yours when I got a dyno done in 2018. VE and Spark is almost identical. 1999 TA here, too. Smaller cam, LT's, 243's...

It's close, but needs setup a little better. What injectors exactly? Bosch Green Giants?

Ok then injector data should be correct because they supply the datasheet.

I'd say research one problem at a time and try fixing it yourself. I had to go through the same thing. For example, VE isn't perfect. EOIT I gave you will help with the rich smell.

I will reiterate. You do not need a wideband for idle and part throttle tuning.

You take the cats off a bone stock LS car and they stink. Add in a cam with overlap and you get what you have now. Injector timing will help a little bit but not much. I'd suggest putting cats back on it.

Put the correct data in then you'll have a much better time of tuning everything. Really.

Or have one of these gentlemen tune it for you. Edcmat-l1, Alvin, GHuggins are experts and not terribly far from where you're at.
