Question EGR Enable not visible P59 ECU

    Capture.PNG

Am I just not able to enable EGR to run my wideband through?
    This is an 05 2500HD 6.0 P59 ecu with 12592618 OS
Is there a better way to log in without messing with the AC system? If not, what wire Am I running the 5v to on the AC system?

Is it possible that HP tuners just removed this option if so can anyone send me a version that I can edit it with or what do I have to do?

So I downloaded an older version of HP Tuners and it has the EGR disable enable shown for the p01 computer sample tune, opened it with the later version I'm using and I am unable to enable or disable it. I think this is BS, If anyone has a copy of the oldest software available that will work with a MPVi3 please let me know I would much like a copy to see If I can make the necessary change so that I don't have to screw around with the AC stuff. And I'm guessing someone from Hp tuners will reply saying they disabled the feature because of "emissions tampering stuff" which is more BS because if it were important for emissions my 05 would still have an EGT, and they could have just made it so that you could enable the EGR but not disable. Seems like they just want people to spend 200$ on the pro set features. Quite irritating since with everything I do with this product I hit a wall and features are disabled or removed. I'm begining to wish I just bough a different product to beging with because this is ridiculous.

MPVI3 only works with 5.X software.

Your missing EGR settings are most likely due to their new "EPA compliance" stuff. All you need to do is go through the free "training" and it should unlock the rest of the software features.

Already done the training and it isn't showing up for either file. This is pretty stupid for such expensive software. whish I just spend a little more and got a stand-alone holley

If it still isn't showing up might be that's it not in that operating system.

As I said above I opened the file for a P01 Camaro in 4.0 software and it had the enabled disable EGR. Then Same file in the 5.0 software and... Nothing. HP tuners feel free to send me a VCM editor that lets me enable the EGR with my MPVI3.

Not all P01s had the same operating system with the same stuff visible in the editor. Why have you not posted your file that you have a question about so that other people can look at it and see if they see what you see?

Okay, Folks, I asked on a Facebook forum and got some really good help. It wasn't completely clear that all I needed to do with the MPVI3 for pro-link features was just get the dongle. That's what I did, I just ordered it now. $100 gone for something that I really should have been able to do for free.

fake edit: Wait a minute, if you have a 2005 P59 how did we get talking about P01s? What's that got to do with anything?

When *I* open a 2005 Yukon 2500 file, with the same 12592618 OS, using version 4.8.7, it has the EGR enable/disable toggle right there plain as the nose on your face.

real edit: So not going to just post your file so some kind soul can enable the EGR pin for you, because Facebook. Fantastic.

Just so you fully understand what happened here, not posting your file right from the jump cost you $100. Good work.

If there'd been a tune file in post #1 instead of a screenshot, there would have been an EGR-enabled file reposted in post #6.

Shoot me an email and I'll send you a link. You'll have to partition it. Or put it on a different computer. You can't use it with your MPVI3. You'd have to use it just to edit and then use the 5.x to flash.

They were except some 6.0Ls still had them in 02. The switch was still there in the calibration on the later years. OP said he wanted to run a wide band through it.

Switch was definitely there in the later years as I ran a wideband through the PCM EGR pin in my 2002 Trans Am. I think it was when I had the original MPVI because I didn't have the pro version with it and when the MPVI2 came out, I could run the wideband as a serial input (USB) to my laptop.
