engine not starting on one E67 but it does on the other?!?!?!?!?

nsterad of a big long story im going to try and just give facts to make it simple till the end here:

So we have a 60s chevy truck in the shop, It had a Holley harness and computer on it, well the computer went out for the 2nd time and owner wanted it gone. Brought it to us to do the work.

*It is a LSA stock motor with a cam and headers.

*Harness we ordered was a LSA harness and all parts needed, gas pedal, maf, map, o2s to all make it work.

*Computer was read and its saying it is a 2012 CTSV

*flashed for MAF tweak and wont start

*SOOOOOOO after trouble shooting for a day trying to figure out what happened we grabbed a computer off the shelf and put it in and it fired off, ran bad, no TB but it runs. This computer is a 2007 TBSS computer.( i cannot use this computer as it is locked out, its just kept for testing)

*So thinking the drivers in the computer got fried in the flash for some reason we got another new computer for it.

*downloaded the file, change injectors and maf info, flashed it, and no start still.

*Thinking again that we must have a issue on the truck, frying the ECM, we tried the 07 TBSS comp again and it fires off.

    * order another computer, don't flash it, don't hook it up yet, send all info(and tunes) to HPT support for help to make sure and they said they see nothing wrong.

    * we then make the harness a stand alone harness and take the truck out of the loop to make 100% sure its not the truck back feeding into the ECM or something during the flash and voltage drop and messing it up.( has alot of stuff running with IGN on)

*Now truck is stand alone, starting it with a start button even, no start. BUT will start and run on the 2007 TBSS comp still.

*Now we are kind of chasing our tails. We have a total of 3 e67s here all with 2012 CTSV OS and tunes in them, and now will fire off, no pop, no fart, nothing. Noid light shows nothing, no spark either

*The TBSS computer im pretty sure it just running in REP but it runs, the TB is different so obviously its in REP

*replaced Cam sensor with new also

    * I get 150 RPM reading on the HPT scanner with ALL COMPUTERS when trying to start so Crank sensor is good on all

So anyone have any idea why a 2012 OS e67 wont run on this harness but a 07 TBSS will?
I was thinking cam sensor the whole time, but we have changed it out and checked the wiring. We are now looking into what wiring this harness it for. cause its not the same as the diagram of a 2011 ctsv we have here.....

You need to apply the VATS patch 1 and 2, starter fault check, then do a write entire. In the E67s it's under the COS tab.

Yep, that is done. I guess i could have said we are a Speed shop, only LS cars and have been for 20 years. Normally we are the ones you come to when you cannot figure stuff out.BUT this one has me scratching my head. Guys are looking at the Wiring harness today actually. The Wiring Guy swears it was all tested and is good 100% and we had to mess up something for it to be the harness. But we have all seen that everyone can mess up. He says there is ZERO chance he messed up. But we are at that point of checking harness now.

We have 4 swaps going right now and do about 10-20 Swaps a year here. Only LS stuff

I had a Old profile and cannot log into it so i had to get this new one back going. So i look like a newbie ..........LOL

Thanks guys! ill let you know on this harness what we find today. And keep bouncing IDEAS, ill take them all!

If'n it runs on 1 out of 4 ECUs, logic would say the harness ain't the problem. If you're supposed to be "that shop" I'd expect better diag skills. Just sayin......

It was the harness. Reason this was not checked was because the Harness company said it was all tested and passed in house and there was NO WAY its in the harness.
The cam sensor wires were wrong in the harness. They even said they flipped them for not using the "JUMPER". Its a real bugger to get to on this to test on this truck and see it but once we got down there and tested it, that was the issue. In the end of the day it was simple fix. I just took the Harness company word for it. I know better :-(

Ran on the TBSS computer cause it will start without a cam sensor. The LSA setup will not start with out a cam sensor unlike most all other LS stuff. So this was the issue form the get go. I always tell everyone we learn something new everyday, no matter how long we all do this.

Never trust the swap harness is good. That is pretty constantly the answer as the problem on here.
